Glory Days Grill® and Sage Communications Team-Up to Support World Police & Fire Games Track Competition

June 29 through July 4, at George Mason University

Sage Communications, one of the region’s fastest growing full-service marketing communications agencies has teamed with Glory Days Grill to co-sponsor the Track and Field competition at the 2015 World Police and Fire Games in Fairfax, VA.

Set for June 26 through July 5, the World Police & Fire Games consists of 62 different sports contested at 53 venues throughout the National Capital area, most of which occur right here in Fairfax County. The Games are the second largest multi-sport event in the world, surpassed only by the Summer Olympics. The competition will draw more than 10,000 athletes from the ranks of police, fire and other public safety agencies from more than 70 different countries across the globe. These tactical athletes will compete in 1,600 medal events, the largest of which is track-and-field, which begins Monday, June 29 and runs through Saturday, July 4 at the George Mason University Stadium. More than 1,100 athletes will participate in the track events with attendance expected to top 3,000 daily.

Glory Days Grill will staff a tent on-site at George Mason University Stadium throughout the entire week, with trivia contests, a prize wheel and product giveaways. Glory Days Grill will also host a booth at the World Police & Fire Games Fan Fest, which takes place from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. on the mall in front of the DC Armory, just prior to the Games Opening Ceremonies at RFK Stadium.

Sage Communications will also support the track competition through the distribution of competition schedules supported by a police-and-fire agency donation program. Encouraging event patrons to “like” the Sage Facebook page and post the name and address of their favorite police or fire division, Sage will randomly select three agencies from among all the “likers,” to which they will make first, second and third place donations of $500, $250 and $125.
