Fairfax, VA — Glory Days Grill, a regional restaurant chain, held two fundraisers at its Frederick, Maryland location at Route 15 and 7th Street to benefit North Frederick Elementary School and Team Disney. The Dining for Dollars fundraisers, which donated a percentage of the restaurant's total food sales on the nights of December 6th and 7th, collectively raised $3,153.00 for the organizations.

The benefits not only provided much needed funding for the two organizations but also an opportunity for organization members to come together as a community. North Frederick Elementary School PTA funds are primarily being used to help increase "Family Involvement," which includes programs such as Family Movie Night, Family Reading Night, Family Game Night, our Winter Carnival, and Arts & Crafts Night. Said PTA President, Julie Marker, "Having such a successful fundraiser in the middle of the year will allow us to add activities that were not in our budget before."

Team Disney is a baseball organization made up of boys ages 13-18 that play throughout the fall season and represent Frederick at the Disney New Year's Baseball Classic in Florida. This is a national tournament where college professionals and scouts attend to watch the boys showcase their talents. The Team used their fundraiser money to offset uniform costs and pay for their indoor practice space. "Thanks for everything Glory Days did to make the players' baseball experience a positive one," said Team Disney Fundraising Coordinator, Debra Dixon. "Not to mention, the food was GREAT!!!" she added.

"We believe in giving back to the community and are committed to supporting the people and youth in the greater Frederick, Maryland area," said Chrisa Francis, Head Coach of the Frederick Glory Days Grill restaurant.

Glory Days Grill has been recognized for a variety of charitable contributions and fundraising efforts and was a state winner and national finalist for both the 2006 and 2003 Restaurant Neighbor Award sponsored by the National Restaurant Association. The restaurant company has 16 corporate owned and operated locations and two franchised locations.

The Glory Days Grill Dining for Dollars fundraising program is open to schools, teams and charitable organizations seeking to raise additional monies. For more information, visit www.glorydaysgrill.com.
