Glory Days Grill has been awarded seven awards from Sun Gazette readers and food fans in Northern Virginia. The Sun Gazette serves the Arlington, McLean, Great Falls, Vienna, Oakton, Fairfax and Tysons marketplace. This recognition includes the prestigious BEST RESTAURANT AWARD and BEST CHEF AWARD/Tony Cochones. In addition, fans recognized the popular family and sports restaurant with new awards that speak to the challenges and achievements realized in 2020, notably BEST TAKEOUT/CURBSIDE and BEST DELIVERY. In early 2020, Glory Days Grill was on a roll with robust sales, new franchise locations, and more openings planned for later that year. But as the impact of the pandemic took hold, the company, like many restaurants, had to shift quickly and make changes to survive in the new environment, including online ordering, improvements to take out and curbside services, and adding third-party delivery. These changes, along with their commitment to always maintain food quality and great service, set the company on a path to not only survive the obstacles faced by the pandemic, but to grow and thrive in 2021 when the restaurants will be collectively celebrating a milestone anniversary. Now, as an end to the pandemic is in sight, fans recognize Glory Days Grill as the place they want to return to celebrate the important moments in their lives.
In April 1996, 25 years ago, Glory Days Grill opened their first restaurant in Burke, Virginia. A quarter of a century later, the restaurant chain boasts nearly 40 locations up and down the east coast from Maryland to Florida.
