FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Thursday, August 7, 2008

Fairfax, VA — Glory Days Grill, a Baltimore/Washington regional restaurant chain, operating 22 full-service restaurants, was selected by the National Restaurant Association and American Express as a winner for the Restaurant Neighbor Award in the state of Maryland. This award speaks volumes to the dedication that Glory Days Grill restaurants have to their local communities. The Restaurant Neighbor Award recognizes a select group of restaurants across the nation for their exceptional participation in fundraising and community outreach. The expanding restaurant company is a four-time repeat winner of this philanthropic award, having earned this distinction in 2003, 2006, 2007 and again in 2008.

Among the many charitable initiatives and fundraisers that Glory Days Grill participates in, one of the largest of these is their annual Glory Days Grill Sunshine Foundation Golf Tournament. Glory Days Grill will hold its twenty-first annual golf tournament to benefit the Sunshine Foundation on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at the Piedmont Country Club in Haymarket, Virginia. The tournament raised in excess of $25,000 for the 2007 event, which they hope to double at this year's venue. The Sunshine Foundation is the original wish granting organization founded in 1976 by former Philadelphia police officer, Bill Sample. Monies raised from the Glory Days Grill Tournament will fulfill the dreams of seriously ill, physically challenged and abused children, ages 3-18, nationwide.

Glory Days Grill Co-Founder, Richard Danker, stated "My family started this tournament 21 years ago in 1988. Glory Days Grill is proud to continue our support of the Sunshine Foundation and the many children they serve. We are also very thankful for the support shown by our many sponsors and participants. Because of their generosity, we can keep spreading the sunshine!"

Glory Days Grill, founded in 1996, has been recognized and honored for a variety of charitable contributions and fundraising efforts within the local communities throughout Maryland, Northern and Central Virginia and West Virginia. The restaurant company currently owns and operates 20 corporate locations plus it supports two franchised restaurants in Richmond, VA.
