Fairfax, VA — In response to the recent call-up for pitching phenom Stephen Strasburg joining the Washington Nationals, Glory Days Grill, a locally owned restaurant chain, is adding a new burger to their lineup.
Appropriately named The Strasburger, the fresh, Prime Burger is perfectly seasoned and then "brings the heat" with spicy pepper jack cheese, Southern California-style Guacamole and garnished with a hot red pepper. The burger will sell for $10.37. The number ten referring to the fact that Glory Days Grill believes Strasburg is a "10" for the Washington Nationals and the number "37" represents the pitcher's jersey number.
Strasburg, the No. 1 pick in last year's draft, is 3-1 with a 1.43 ERA in five Triple-A starts. In 11 minor league starts, including 7 with Double-A Harrisburg, Strasburg is 7-2 with a 1.30 ERA with 65 strikeouts.
The Strasburger will make its own Major League debut in all 19 area Glory Days Grill locations on Monday, June 7th, one day before Strasburg's first pitch before a sell-out crowd at National's Park.
